Joined-up care for mid and south Essex residents
We’re improving the way we deliver care to our residents across mid and south Essex through the introduction of a new joined-up Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system for Essex Partnership University Trust and Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust.
The investment in a new EPR system will support our service delivery across community, mental health, and acute care services, enabling us to provide better, safer, joined-up care for everyone.
The EPR system is a digital tool which will enable clinicians and operational staff to access information quicker, and help them make more effective and personalised decisions on the care you need using real-time information.
By accessing the right information quickly and securely, our patients will experience better and safer care at the right time and place. The new system is scheduled to go live in 2026 across Essex Partnership University Trust and Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust.
The EPR system will replace paper-based patient records and current, multiple systems over time, which will bring many benefits to our staff, patients, and communities. The investment in a new EPR system supports the wider digital investments we are making to residents across Essex, such as Shared Care Record, helping in the delivery of quick, essential and tailored care across our organisations.
