The children’s hospice for Essex is opening its doors once again to professionals for an exclusive networking session.
Little Havens, the local charity that provides specialist care and support for babies, children, and young people living with complex or incurable conditions throughout Essex, is hosting an exclusive networking session for health, social, and education professionals.
It is an ideal chance for those supporting children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families to find out about Little Havens and the support they offer families.
The free event on Friday 25th April, 9:00am – 11:30am in Thundersley, will include a tour of the hospice, the opportunity to network with peers, and a chance to hear from families who have experienced the hospice’s care.
Kat and Nick, mum and Dad of Noah, will be talking first-hand about the care and support their son received at the hospice. Noah was diagnosed with a large brain stem tumour at the age of three, and Little Havens was there for Noah and his family through the end of his life. Kat and Nick will explain to professionals the benefits of referring to Little Havens.
The session is ideal for GPs, SEN school workers, Children’s Community Nursing Teams, Children with Disabilities Teams, hospital practitioners, bereavement midwives and children’s therapists, such as those in speech and language, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
It is a fantastic opportunity for professionals to connect with like-minded peers while finding out more about Little Havens and the care and support we can provide.”
Emma Simpson, Head of Children and Young People’s Services
