Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) is reminding adults in mental health crisis to dial 111 for immediate and specialist support.
Anyone in mental health crisis can call 111 and select the mental health option to be connected to trained staff at the Trust who can provide timely and appropriate support and advice.
111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is a single point of contact for anyone in crisis or in need of support of behalf of someone else.
We have all seen how busy the NHS is at the moment but it remains vital that people in mental health crisis are able to access support without delay. Our 111 service enables people to do just that and is the fastest way to access urgent mental health support.

The service does not replace 999. Anyone in mental health crisis who requires serious or life threatening emergency mental or physical care, should dial 999 immediately.
The 111 crisis phone line is for people aged 18 and over. Anyone under the age of 18 or family members of anyone under the age of 18 in crisis, should call North East London NHS Foundation Trust’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Service on 0800 953 0222. Outside of working hours please call 0800 995 1000.
